Numerical simulation of anti-penetration performance of corrugated plate/aluminum foam sandwich structure

In order to study the anti-penetration performance of corrugated plate/aluminum foam composite sandwich structure, LS-DYNA software was used simulate. The penetration model 7.62 mm rifle bullet into structure established, and residual velocities bullets at five positions were compared analyzed. influence different initial velocity forward 900m/s angle on B is focused. results show that positions, largest weakest. With decrease bullet, movement in different, deflection phenomenon occurs when penetrating B. When angles (initial 900m/s) penetrate B, trajectory approximately a straight line along angle. 30°, it cannot completely structure. deformation mainly shear deformation; under conditions, runs through only speed 900 m/s. This can provide basis reference for improvement application
